My pants don’t fit.

Time to Consider Kettlebell Classes
Okay, they still fit but not quite like they used to. Why would that be? I bust my butt training several times per week!
I do work hard in the gym and I do spend a lot of time educating myself on nutrition. But…I don’t always put that knowledge to work for myself. I consciously decided to give myself a break after my RKC Kettlebells Level II Certification in July, 2011. I have been training hard and watching what I eat for almost five years. During which time I also had a baby. Mentally, I knew I just needed a break. Since July, I have gone on two vacations and also started a full-time job which involved sitting at a desk most of the day. I also unleashed myself when it came to nutrition. I enjoyed all my favorite foods on vacation and at home. I made cupcakes for my boys’ birthdays, I went to parties and reunions and ate like it was my last meal. I made the decision to relax my normally regimented and disciplined behavior and it felt pretty good. During this time, I continued training hard. Even though I gained weight (most likely body fat), I got stronger. I have made many milestones in the last few months of indulgences. I can snatch the 20kg kettlebell for 100 reps in seven minutes, I can clean & jerk 2 x 24 kg kettlebells for multiple reps, and I can press the 20kg kettlebell for multiple reps. I’m not sure this has anything to do with my added body weight but regardless, I got stronger and better. In my opinion, I think my relaxation made have had something to do with it. I tend to stress about things, and making the decision not to stress made a big difference in how many training sessions have been going.
 So, where am I now?
I am 5’7†and 135lbs which is about 8-10lbs heavier than my normal weight of 125-7ish. I haven’t had my body fat tested since last December (in the Bod-Pod) at which time it was a little under 12%. Without a doubt, it is higher now. I am actually pretty happy with my body at the moment. The extra weight feels good on me and my husband seems to like it too (haha).
What am I going to do now?
I am going to lose the extra weight. Even though I am feeling good and looking good (thanks Gary), I have a closet full of clothes that are tailored to fit a woman who weighs less than I currently do and I have no desire to re-stock my closet with new clothes. So unforuntaly, the weight must go and my Summer of relaxation has to end. It’s time to get back on track and get my butt in my pants again.
Stay tuned for my plan!
